Watch Review: Zanis Nuvati ZA-004A-BSDSMD

Posted the 25th day of September in 2013 by Riley.

Zanis has produced a limited edition watch that each contains a Martian meteorite, a Lunar meteorite, an outer space gem and 70 diamonds. The space gem, aka an extraterrestrial pallasite, is specifically a Brenham Pallasite. It is currently the only known gem stone from outer space. The Martian meteorite fragment is from NWA 6963 and the Lunar one is from NWA 6888. This is a first for a wrist watch.

Let's take a closer look at this special watch, and see what it's all about.

The diamonds are suspended in fluid and float around the watch face as the watch moves. There's a total of .42 Ct. of diamonds in there. The piece of the Moon, Mars and the rare space gem are set in a cabochon at the six o'clock position.

The watch has a nice heft and stands fairly high off the wrist. The rubber strap is very comfortable, and the strap keepers are held in place by a couple nubs built into the side of the strap.

Overall, this is a really interesting watch with a unique combination of ingredients. The design might not be everyone's favorite, but this definitely could be a watch to collect instead of a daily wearer. It's amazing to have these interplanetary pieces all assembled inside one wrist watch.
