Watch Report has a new review of the Poljot Traveller Alarm. This is a Russian made watch that features a Poljot 2612 hand-wound mechanical movement. It also has a separate hand-wound mechanism for alarm. Only 999 of these have been produced. You can pick one up for around $100 USD. Take a look and see if you think this one is a bargain.

Here's a Seiko commercial that was broadcast in Japan back in 1990. There's a guy with dog in kayak and people drinking champagne. The narrator says something about the flow of time. It's a very dramatic video. Seiya apparently had something to do with the making of it.

Andy Kurovets has designed a new concept for a watch that would display the time by projecting the digits onto your skin via lasers. It looks like you have to hit a button to activate it. It doesn't seem very practical at all, but it's nice to see something new. We'll see if this one ever gets out of the concept phase.

Vannen Watches has announced a new series of art watches. The four watches have elaborate graphics designs. They don't look to have any much from a technological standpoint, but the artwork might be enough for some. The designers are Buff Monster, Brian Morris, Damon Soule and Chris Ryniak.
