Japanese photographer Yonehara Yasumasa has designed a pair of new watches for FLuD. The unusual band printing was inspired by women's legs. These limited edition watches seem to favor fashion over function, so they're not for everyone. They might make a nice holiday gift for a trendy woman in your life though.

Here's nice little video Seiko just released of the sailing team the sponsor. The video was shot at a competition in Lake Garda, Italy. It looks like a beautiful area. There's no watch content, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.

It has moon phase, tide graph, compass, barometer, altimeter, thermometer and atomic time sync. This model has a slightly thinner case design than the PAW1500. The retail price is $450 USD, but you can pick one up for less than $300 online.

They go on sale today at UNDER COVER's store and on December 5th at the hnyee.Store. These digital watches feature atomic time sync and 32 city world time.

TRIWA Watches has unveiled their new collection for the 2009 Holiday season. The have a wide range of colorful models. Prices start at $85 USD, so they're not too pricey at all. Most of their watches feature the Citizen Miyota 2115 movement. Some of the design choices aren't terribly original, but they bring a bit of their own flavor, and it's nice to have some choices.

Seiko is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the first quartz watch. The first commercially available quartz watch was the Seiko 35 SQ Astron in 1969. There will be an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan starting on December 1st to celebrate the anniversary and the new Astron 40 watch. It's titled the Power Design Project.

Swatch has released some new automatic chronograph watches along with their new Fall/Winter collection. These feature the ETA C01.211 movement. There's several styles to choose from and retail prices start at $360 USD. You have to sort through quite a few other types of watches in the Swatch store to spot the ones with these new movements.
